DETALIED RESULTS

The event began with former CWF Heavyweight champion Kato coming to ringside. He explained to everyone about being stripped of the title for attacking Commissioner LeGrande at MARCH MADNESS (3/27/10) in Johnsonburg, and since then, Kato said that he has become a changed man. He explained that he has been going to anger management classes and is a better man for it. He said that LeGrande had sent him a certified letter stating that the belt was to be mailed back to the CWF office, but Kato did not do it because his therapist told him it was better to handle the situation in person like a man. Kato called out LeGrande, and the long-time Commissioner reluctantly came to the ring. Before Kato would give the title over, he asked LeGrande for forgiveness and to let him keep the title as it “means everything” to him. LeGrande would not budge on his decision, and Kato appeared to get angrier by the second. When the undefeated star stepped towards LeGrande, Powerhouse Hughes made his way to the ring. Hughes entered the ring behind Kato and took the title from Kato’s hands and handed the belt to LeGrande. Kato told Hughes that this situation had nothing to do with him and he should mind his own business. As this was happening, “Big Deal” Ian Jordan ran to ringside with a chair and slid in to nail Hughes from behind. At the last second, Kato pushed Hughes out of the way and Jordan’s chairshot nailed Kato in the head. A stunned LeGrande looked on as did Hughes after he regrouped. Jordan slid out of the ring and yelled at Kato saying that “that wasn’t intended for you, you idiot”. LeGrande and Hughes both left without checking on Kato. The referee came to ringside to try and kelp Kato, but the star pushed him away as he went to the locker room.

MATCH 1 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL
Zubov d. “BIG TIME” Bill Collier in 5:37.

The opening match of the tournament may have been the most hyped-up contest. Both men were the two favorites to walk away with the title, but only one man could advance. The fast-paced bout went back and forth and as Collier was about to put Zubov away, the former two-time champion raked Collier’s eyes and hit him with a spear for the win.

MATCH 2 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL
Thunder d. Apollyon in 5:35.

In a battle of masked CWF stars looking to put a big notch under their belt, Thunder picked up the win when he hit Apollyon with a powerslam.

MATCH 3 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL
“Big Deal” Ian Jordan d. Jason Gory via forfeit.

As Jordan entered the ring carrying the chair he used to lay out Kato with, he reiterated to the crowd that it was Kato’s fault for what happened earlier and that Jason Gory was in trouble. Ring announcer Hank Hudson introduced Gory second, but he never came to the ring so the match was awarded to Jordan. “Gory fears me, and I hope he didn’t have, ahem, car troubles on his way to the show,” Jordan said. As Jordan left the ring with his chair, Kato’s music hit but he did not come out. A worried Jordan carefully made his way to the locker room.

MATCH 4 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT QUARTERFINAL
Brock Singleton d. Lightning in 4:28.

In the fastest quarterfinal match of the night, Brock Singleton advanced with a win over Lightning. The match was sluggish due to the nature of both men feeling each other out, and Singleton got the win with a rollup.

MATCH 5 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL
“Big Deal” Ian Jordan d. Thunder in 6:37.

Jordan again came to the ring with the chair, and he seemed more preoccupied with Kato than with Thunder and it almost cost him. However, Jordan undid the top turnbuckle and used the exposed metal to his advantage. Jordan picked up the win with a frog splash. As he left the ring, Kato’s music once again played, but Kato did not come to the ring.

MATCH 6 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT SEMIFINAL
Brock Singleton d. Zubov in 3:05.

Singleton pulled off what could best be described as an upset as he downed the former two-time CWF Heavyweight champion. As Zubov jawed with the crowd, Singleton ended things quickly as he timed Zubov’s next step into his patented finisher.

After the match, Jordan attacked Singleton with the chair.

MATCH 7 – Six-Man Tag Team match
Flex Lee, Nick Mirra, and Dan Sandwich d. “Hot Stuff” Chris Marx (Mon Valley champion) and the Mercenaries (Nasty Nick and Sniper) (CWF Tag Team champions) in 12:44.

The six-man bout was nothing short of a back and forth brawl, and it led to Lee picking up the pin on Marx after a jackhammer.

After the match, Commissioner LeGrande announced that at NO ESCAPE, Lee will challenger Marx for the Mon Valley title and the team of Mirra and Sandwich will challenge the Mercenaries for the tag straps.

MATCH 8 – CWF HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT FINAL
Brock Singleton d. “Big Deal” Ian Jordan to win the vacant CWF Heavyweight championship in 10:44.

As Jordan made his way to the ring, Kato’s music once again played, but he did not come out. An arrogant Jordan told the crowd that Kato is too injured to come back out. Once the match started, both men picked up near falls that would have won them the CWF Heavyweight championship. As Singleton went for his patented finisher, he spun Jordan around and Jordan’s leg inadvertently nailed the referee. Jordan slid down and low-blowed Singleton before going to grab his chair. But just as he was about to hit Singleton, Kato came from the locker room and grabbed the chair and laid out Jordan. He took the microphone from Hank Hudson and said, “I may still be suspended and that means I can’t wrestle at NO ESCAPE (6/12/10). But there isn’t anything saying that I can’t fight. I am coming to NO ESCAPE and I am going to beat you down.” After he finished, Kato pulled Singleton on top of Jordan and the referee managed the three-count.

After the bell, Thunder, Dan Sandwich, Nick Mirra, Lightning, and Powerhouse Hughes congratulated Singleton. Then, Kato grabbed the belt from the announcers table and took it into the ring. He handed the title to Singleton and shook his hand. As Kato left the ringside area, he went over to the injured Jordan and put the boots to him as Singleton mingled with the crowd to celebrate the beginning of his new reign.
